Now everything is over, you’ll probably find yourself with a lot of wedding paraphernalia and no idea what to do with it all. There are lots of creative and even money-making ways to re-use, re-purpose, or recycle your wedding bits and bobs.

  • Dress

You may want to keep your wedding dress forever as a memento of your day. It’s up to you whether you wish to get it dry-cleaned, or keep the wedding day stains which will forever remind you. Otherwise, you can always sell your dress online for another bride to get a day out at a cheaper cost.

  • Flowers

Get creative and save a couple of your flowers to press into a scrapbook or shadow box before they go bad. This is a great way to preserve your memories and leftover photos.

  • Cake

There will be a lot of cake to get through and if you have plenty of leftovers, freeze it to enjoy at a later date, for another event, for example.

  • Photos

Once you’ve framed and gifted all of the photos you want to and still have some leftover, put them in photo albums in either chronological order or by the segment of the day. These you can store on a shelf, or keep on display in your living or dining room for people to flick through when they visit.

  • Other

Did you know you can sell a lot of your wedding stuff online? Things such as accessories, decorations, lights, and even leftover stationery can be beneficial for other brides and grooms to be. Just think about how much you spent on all of the decor which you’ll probably never use again. Take some good pictures of your stuff, upload to one of many sites by category or as a group sell, and you can recoup a fair amount of what you spent, and it’s also going on to be re-used again.
